- Candles and reflectors contemplate the Indian festivity. Do not restrict yourself to the traditional diyas. For a long lasting effect adorn your dwelling with candles. Put up a few reflectors to give a mirroring effect of the burning blazes which brightens the room a bit more.
- Design and texture should not be restricted to your furniture and curtains. Indian concepts as a wallpapers give the room a royal effect. You can contrast the colour and design of the wall with the furniture. If you have a room that is lesser in size, for demonstration the children's room or the visitor room then splash it with vibrant colours.
- Limited splashes of diverging hues add drama and festivity to the room. Try ultramarine blue, red and fuchsia for walls and accessories. You can also decorate a singular wall.
- You cannot have festive decoration without some glitter. Add some sequin embroidery, hand painted cushions with collage like patchwork, counterpane in brightly coloured jewel shades for your bedroom. This is the right time to hit the market and look for more glitter in various forms and pattern
- Pillows, bed sheets and curtains are easily replaceable and can be experimented with for the season. You should preferable go for sequined materials or add bold colours to add appeal.
